Fresh Grapes & Juices
Making wine from fresh ingredients is ideal. At Danny’s we carry a number of fresh products available both seasonally or year round for making fresh homemade wine.
Fresh California Grapes - 36lb crates, are available seasonally for a limited time. They come in a variety of specific styles in both red and white. Making wine from fresh grapes is great because it allows you to ferment over the skins and better control the colour and body of your wine. It is also easy to blend different styles of grape this way to produce the ideal flavours you want. Fresh Grapes usually arrive after Labour Day in September and must be picked up in-store. To ensure availability call and make an order in advance. On-site destemming and crushing is available. Wine Presses are available for rent.
Festa Juice Pails - 21L (5 gallon), are a great way to make wine from fresh juice. They have the added bonus of being readily available year round! They come in a sturdy plastic 25L food grade pail that can be used as a primary fermenter or for many other uses.
Seasonal Grape Juices - 23L (6 gallon), are the best way to make premium quality wine true to their Italian or Chilean origins. They are available in a variety of styles in March (Chile) and September (Italy). To ensure availability please call in advance with your order.
